Let’s face it, Christmas pajamas are a necessity for most of us. If you happen to be a mom, the children will get up on Christmas morning before you do. If you happen to be spending Christmas with your in-laws, your mother-in-law will be out of bed, dressed and made-up for the day before sunrise. If you have overnight guests, they are sure to be up as soon as they smell the coffee. For those of us who normally sleep in lightweight gowns or shorts with a t-shirt, Christmas morning can turn out to be a very embarrassing event.

Christmas morn is an exciting time and no one is allowed to sleep in. The last thing we want is to wake up and have people immediately seeing us in old, ratty pajamas. Especially if they are the “ones” who start taking pictures the instant you step out of your bedroom door. That is why I enjoy having new Christmas pajamas each year. I do invest in a new pair each year because I don’t want to be wearing the same pajamas every year in the photo album.
